Mr. Armbrister has served as the principal of Wheatland Elementary since the opening of the new facility in August 2008.  He served in two other districts as a building principal before moving to USD #385.  He believes the successful opening of Wheatland was due to the quality students, parents, patrons, building staff and district staff that worked collectively to make the vision a reality, and the continued support of parents and the community has enable continued success.  
 

A native Kansan in his eighteenth year in public school education, Mr. Armbrister received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, a Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration and his District Level Endorsement from Fort Hays State University.  Elton has two sons and a daughter that are the joy of his life!
 

In his free time, Elton enjoys running, biking, reading, racquetball, fishing, golfing and playing trumpet.  The Armbrister family attends the Metro East Baptist Church.
